    Best way to mount optics(Aimpoint,not sure which)?
    Best way to mount weapons light?
    Forums,websites,etc?The site AKOPERATORSUNIONLOCAL47-74.COM posted by TacticalSledgehammer is great.
    Training specific to the AK platform?
    Is anyone using an AK as their primary weapon and if so why?
    Slings and mag carriers?
    Thanks.
    I have a similar milled Arsenal;

    1. RS side rail optic mount I have both Pro and Micro (prefer the micro for obvious reasons).
    2. RS BM1 light mount w/ Inforce WML.
    3. Most of my learning on the AK is from training, competition, and various SMEs. There is good AK info to be found on M4C.
    4. My only AK specific training was with Sonny Puzikas and it was money well spent (very physical demanding class).
    5. Yes AK is my primary. I don't really use my AR anymore.
    6. I am comfortable with the standard AK100 series sling; AKM slings are too short for my liking. However, a Vicker's would be a worthwhile upgrade. I am considering one myself. I use Tacos (surprisingly effective with Vepr 12 mags too) and my back pocket to carry mags.

    You also have Mayflower's 7.62 chest rigs as options.

    The HSP D3 works with AK mags as well.

    The Ultimak works well, but gets hot. I prefer a QD mount on the siderail, but that wont allow you to cowitness.

    OP: you dont have your location listed, so its difficult to recommend classes. There are some local guys here in GA. Also try Vickers and Suarez (I cant stand Gabe, but he offers good AK training).
