Ur not missing anything, just misunderstood what I meant.
I said IT'S POSSIBLE he made a mistake, as in I don't KNOW one way or the other.
IF it turns out he DID make a mistake, he should have told me about it. NOW (hypothetically, if I find out that extra 2 months was his mistake) I will spend some free time attempting to deny him business.
So if I understand the chain of events correctly:
Dealer sends Form 4 to GA instead of WV by accident or by ignorance (because why would he do that on purpose with full knowledge?) in late Jan.
ATF in GA forwards it to WV at some point, which arrives on 1 Apr and check is cashed 2 Apr.
You get concerned and call the ATF in WV, they say they received in on 1 Apr.
Dealer calls ATF to figure out what happened, ATF tells them that the office in GA forwarded it to WV because the GA office doesn't handle Form 4s?
Except according to Jakedasnake, WV only does Form 1s?

Crapshot, I'm telling you. Call the ATF and they'll tell you, GA handles Form 4's specifically! While WV handles Form 1's, SPECIFICALLY!!!! I was just told this in The 1st week of July after speaking with WV over the course of several days! Now, unless something changed, which I HIGHLY DOUBT, that tells me your dealer lied, and just sent off the paperwork late! So, call them in the a.m., and let's see who's got the FACTS straight!

I was going to post that but realized my dog had run away, (scared of gunshots... dove season. .. what can u do).
So....
It seems like either: (correct me if I'm wrong)
My dealer sat on it, for whatever reason mistake or otherwise, if that's the case I should have been notified.
Or:
The Atlanta nfa group sat on it, for whatever reason mistake or otherwise, in which case I would not expect to be notified.
Either way it's shi+ luck for me, receiving my first and only tax stamp will take one full year. I thought my wait was all but over, but I'll be waiting half as long more than I have I have currently. What a powerful disappointment.
I'm not confusing, it's right here, in black and white;
