    Springfield Pro rail or not

Do most people order this gun with a rail. I know the whats it gonna be used for thing, which is irrelevant cause it will be a range gun for theist part.Reason I ask seems like most people like the rail these days. I also know this is a working gun but as far as a collectable or more sought after does it matter. Just wanted a few opinions and thanks.

I think the non-railed are more desireable to most.

Personally I like the railed Pros better just because I like 'em....

From my perusing around 1911forum a while back the railed seemed to be a little more collectible because there were so few of them. Many people had Pro models from before they started offering rails.

My opinion really means squat but the Pro is a sexy beast. The Pro with a surefire attached....sexier. Just me though.

I love mine but it does eat up leather holsters, but I just like the operator look and option for a light.

Dutch, my railed Operator (Pro) is due in 12 months so that will tell you how I vote...
    Can't go wrong with either.
In full disclosure, I have regular SA Pro already and IF I had to choose I'm quite certain that I'd keep the railed 1.

User specific - are you running a light or just going with the rail for looks? I have lots of railed 1911's and if you don't plan on running a light full time, go non-rail.

I ordered a Springer Custom Shop Full Rail Operator in 9mm back in 08.... It was a 12-12 month wait. 24 months - wow... 12 was bad enough

I'm sure you will love it. What is the current wait time these days?
