Buttstock interchangeability

Will an AR-10 (DPMS) buttstock (A2 style) fit an MP10 (S&W) rifle? Thank you for any help. Larry

A2 style = rifle buttstock

Any (fixed) rifle buttstock will fit on any rifle tube. If your M&P10 came with a rifle buttstock, yes. If it came with a telescoping stock, no, you would need to change the buffer tube, which also means changing the buffer and spring.

Assuming you have the more common collapsible stock model you'll need the following parts to do the conversion:
-AR-15 A1/A2 rifle receiver extension
-AR-10/LR308 rifle buffer (or heavier rifle version from HeavyBuffers)
-AR-10 spring (same spring used for rifle and collapsible stock receiver extensions), or LR308 rifle spring
-A2 stock spacer
