I would like a 20" but the A2 stock is too long. Maybe an A1 would be better.
I honestly cannot remember. It has been six years. All I remember is that I googled for a USMC M16A4 sling and I was led to this one. Of course, there are a few different slings the USMC has used and authorized for use. Specter Gear makes a mag pouch that is adaptable to a sling attachement similar to mine. Where ever I got mine, I got the whole setup from them. Sorry I could not be of more help. Time has a way of making me forget some things.

VooDoo makes a barrel like that, 625 gas block: http://www.voodooinnovations.com/18-...evo-ultra-lite they also make it with a 750 gas block: http://www.voodooinnovations.com/18-...evo-ultra-lite
I'm very tempted to pick one up.
I was under the impression that for most gas blocks the outer size is the same for .625 and .750. I've heard V7 is better.

I have one 20" varmit barrel but it's big, long, and heavy--even with a short handguard. If I just wanted to use it for target practice, then it'd be okay, but I have coyotes all over my property and just got used to a rifle I can sling over my shoulder and go through scrub brush with and a 14.5" pinned is substantially shorter and lighter.
I do most of my shooting at 7000-9000 feet and haven't had accuracy issues/benefits at 200-250 yards.
In the future, PMAGs will be the currency standard.
I love the 20 inch rifle. Used the M16A4 extensively in the Army and it worked well in combat. Not all engagements in Iraq were urban. Out in eastern Iraq in the farmlands the shots could easily be out at 300-500 meters. The longer barrel was a benefit there, especially since we were still rocking Aimpoints back then.

No dude is going to get shot in the chest at 300 yards and look down and say "What is that, a 3 MOA group?"
