There's going to be a lot of stocks popping up on the EE I'm sure. I'll more than likely be replacing an MOE and B5 Bravo. Don't know if it'll replace my two SOPMODs though, purely because it may be too light that it throws off the balance. Hope it's not an issue though, BCM makes some great stuff.

I've had a weapons case fall free from my lowering line because it came un-done during an airborne op for example. Fell a good good ways down during a night op, and when I finally recovered the weapon the worst that had happened to it was a bent barrel and the handguards were off. I've seen the aftermath of weapons from IED initiated ambushes and have personally witnessed weapons taking some hard hits in the middle of gunfights. Through it all I can honestly say that I've never seen a buttstock break on a gun. Receiver extensions, yes. But not an actual broken buttstock. Not saying it never happened, just saying I've never seen it. I wouldn't worry about dropping my rig and damaging the stock if it happened to become unslung during a training venue. As I said, I'm anxious to hear first hand experiences with the stock, and I'm not ruling out the possibility of owning one at some point down the road if I deem it a necessity. Good discussion.
Why the long winded response? We already know the main reason you dislike the BCM stock is because of how it looks.

I don't know. Because I can? You want to actually contribute something or just sharp shoot, stud?

How long is the butt? I like a longer stock like a MOE or M4 waffle because it gives some forgiveness when positioning on my shoulder. CAR, SOPMOD, IMOD all are too short for me.

Any hints on the other colors?

Once the screw is removed, how do you remove the latch? I would like to look at the internals, but I do not want to force a piece the wrong way and break it.

The dates are on the webpage. I think it says December for the other colors, and end of January for Wolf Grey

I do understand that it is 100% personal opinion and no two are the same. Just want people to be open minded about stuff like this until they actually use it.

I had to mortar a bravo stock and it didn't end well. The stock still works, kinda, but I think it will be replaced by BCM as soon as they have FDE in stock.

Pretty impressive. I just ordered one to try out on my BCM 14.5" middy.

you need to remove the lever. the lever has two prongs which need to be pushed in at the same time for it to be removed. i modified a tangodown vert grip removal tool to do that.
