    My sample has an F marked FSB. The m4 ramps don't hurt anything and the roll mark seems fine.

    I believe I heard somewhere that the Mk12 was designed with m4 feed ramps to aid in loading of longer match rounds. Ill have to find that bit of info, could help on the A4 as well.

    I am aware of the feed ramp and the roll mark issues. While irritating, those aren't a deal breaker for me. I just can't live w a non f marked FSB. I surely want a colt a4, though. I'm still saving and will bug grant when the money gets stacked up. I don't know what it is about the classic stoner rifle, but I've been bit by the nostalgia bug, of late. Though it's doubtful, it would be killer if colt did an a1 and/or a2 as well!
    Back on track... Just want to agree w a few others. Op, without question, that is a legit colt a4 w trashed hand guards.

    What's wrong with the roll mark?

    It says AR-15A4, is that not what it is?

    I think some people won't be happy with it unless it says M16A4 on the side.

    @foxtrot:
    now we're talking! why doesn't it, again? Im sure there is a fantastic reason, but it escapes me. Colt's stoner rifle with carbine length gas system is roll marked m4 carbine??
    also, its not the fact that the rifle is roll marked ar15a4, some people don't like that it doesn't have the LE designation. But again, I don't care about that. Im just peeved at the lack of a F marked FSB (per m16a4 spec).

    Shouldn't it also have an "H" Buffer?

    It has an A2 buffer/stock assembly, not a carbine.

    They simply took a 6720 roll mark and removed the "Lightweight LE Carbine" writing while still keeping the CAR serial number prefix.

    What was asked for was a gun marked:

    AR-15A4
    Government Rifle
