I just got mine and I have a few questions.

What did your rifle come with?

Was a empty cut open bag included?(picture of bag below)

Is your Front Sight Base Marked <B>?

What does a Front Sight Base marked <B> mean?

And was your grip and hand guard beat to hell?

There is nothing wrong with the handguard. That irregular area is from it being trimmed from the mold.

    What's the significance here?

Ten years ago this movement started to have Colt make a semi auto M16A4 clone.

That was the marking that was asked for. Colt failed to deliver.

Colt took the laziest path possible to make this gun. It was 10 years late and wasn't made how we wanted it.

Why I built a clone using a BCM upper.

That's the route I'm taking as well. Its too bad, I wouldn't mind a Colt in the stable but not going to pay more for less just for the pony on the side.

Exactly. Locally the Colt is over $1200. I am super happy with my build and I got less than $850 into it.

The Colt is an excellent rifle no doubt and the OP should be proud of it and it will serve him well.

M16A4 roll mark would be sweet.

Not that roll marks are a big deal, but I don't like the new " M4 carbine". I much prefer the Old LEO markings with or with out the restriction mark.

It's a great Colt gun, made by Colt the way Colt wanted to make it. It's good to go.

The white dot on the BCG is confusing, but many of mine have the same. You know you got a Colt for sure. Because who else would put that goofy shit on their BCG.

Those hand guards suck. Replace them. But it will get more jacked up with a range session. I bought two BCM lowers from Grant once. One blemished one pure perfect. Picked them up from LGS, DROPPED the Un-blemished one in parking lot scratched the shit out of it. The blemished looked perfect. Moral of story, you gotta a gun with character. Lock and load champ.

I'm sure some folks have Colt tattoos - kind of their own personal rollmark
