With LC XM193 i was seeing 3-4 inch groups at 100 yards.

The PRVI Partisan 75g match came in around 1.6-1.7 inches for a 10 shot group last time i took it out. I know I've had slightly tighter groups with Federal Gold Medal Match, but I can't find my notes on that one right now.

Late 2008 6920, DD Omega Rail, and a TA01 ACOG. Shot from a bench, with a front sandbag.

That's pretty good. I don't know how PRVI can get away with calling anything they make "MATCH". They make a good, reliable round. But MATCH, it aint.

The gun is likely capable of around MOA (1" at 100 with good 77 gr or 69 gr OTM bullets) It's not uncommon for most of the regular Chrome lined barrels from BCM or COLT these days to get around MOA with ammo and a magnified optic.
Best advice here. Shoot irons first, then pick up an optic. You will be surprised what the 6920 can do.
I expend tremendous amounts of energy and time merely to be normal.

Yeah, I'm surprised how little love the 6920 gets for being a solid great shooting and reliable rifle for not much cash.

I do prefer a free float mod, but don't think it's absolutely necessary.
In the future, PMAGs will be the currency standard.

6920 gets crazy respect here and is often the first rifle that is recommended by the SMEs, MODs, etc. here. Its the best value for sure.

Agreed, although as far as value, some sites are selling 6720s for 800, a bit cheaper than the 6920s.

Yup. And then in reality, NOBODY here actually shoots one!

It arrives tomorrow, I'm pretty excited, been wanting one for quite awhile. I don't plan on trying to squeeze every last ounce of it for accuracy, I have a bolt for that and it is very capable. I want this gun to learn how to use, be comfortable enough with it I could protect myself out family if God forbid the need ever arises. More of a self defense gun than anything. I'm not putting a scope on it by any means. If anything it will get a red dot, one day, maybe.

I do! I love my 6920 although I have prettied her up a bit. Troy Alpha VTAC, a scope, and most importantly a Geissele SSA. I love that rifle!

P.S. I have a BCM as well, although they are both given the same attention on the range.

I hear ya, but I would go out on on a limb and say the majority probably started out shooting one....
