    64 gr Nosler BSB Recovered from Deer.

    Well we finally recovered a Nosler 64gr BSB from a deer.

    Colt 16" CAR-15 was weapon used.

    Range was 65 yds

    Point of shoulder shot on buck, broke both shoulders and bullet lodged under skin of off side shoulder.

    Load was 27 grs of ACC 2520 CCI 41 Primer Winchester cases

    Deer ran 40 yds and piled up.

    Recovered bullet weighed 46 grs

    Good shooting and superb performance for a little bullet. I got a bunch of those Noslers last winter and have not had a chance to test them yet. This is very promising.

    I just bought a couple hundred projectiles to handload. This looks very promising.

    My assumption is that we are talking 2700 FPS at the muzzle, but that is not proven. I will soon use my chronograph and know what the muzzle velocity is on this load.

    65 yd velocity will be around 2600 or so.

    Bullet expansion looks good and 70% weight retention through both shoulders is excellent.
