If you like the PSA shell game, you can keep it.

I have a pretty big hunch on who is making these barrels for them, and they are well enough respected around here already.

But for this gun I'm willing to take the chance so I can afford more of that expensive ammo!

In your boat I would be hard pressed to pick up one

I have an 8.2 noveske barrel. I really like it. I had an extra 308 can so I made a dedicated suppressed upper

I hand load and hunt so it was a no brainer.

After owning and shooting many sbrs I prefer a 14.5 5.56 with mini can and 8 or 9 inch 300 blk

At first, I had the 'not sure if serious' reaction... then I noticed the grammar. Yup. Srs.

Still, you're just as likely to encounter that bubba that got the 9" AAC and decided that building it into a pistol wasn't worth it... at the right price I'd by a BLK upper too, but for so many other people their 'BUY MEOW' threshold is much lower, so I'm not going to actively search - just do some Excel spreadsheeting and map out what price point you'd be willing to hit for the few upper configurations you'd actually want to run, come up with price offsets for things like muzzle devices or it being the 'wrong' handguard, and then just have that as a handy reference - so when you do see something you actually HAVE TO HAVE, you'll be able to pull the trigger on it and love it [FWIW, I've done this with 1911's, and even in a drunken stupor sitting in the barracks been absolutely thrilled with every drunk impulse buy, because it still fit what I wanted].

    I own both.

However, before I spent another penny on anything else gun related, I'd buy a basic single stage reloading press and accessories ($200-250 will get you started).
Being able to reload opens up a whole new world of opportunities in precision, cost, and ability to weather the storms of shortages that seem to pop up every few years. (Storing 2 kegs of powder and 10,000 primers is a lot cheaper and easier than storing 10,000 loaded rounds)

    Best of luck

Strangely, the only shortage left right now is powder.

I get the debate between 300 BLK and 5.56mm in general.

I never thought there was a debate on it relating to SBRs though. 300 BLK for an SBR is a no-brainer.
