    Yep. Everybody was real helpful and well-meaning in this thread, but based everything more on their own needs than Pyro's. We wouldn't insist a new driver has to get a Z06 Corvette to learn on because nothing less could meet their eventual needs after 30 years of driving experience .

    Pyro *is* the typical AR market customer. Regular dude, just wants an AR. Nothing wrong with that.

    Let him shoot that a while, learn the system, and figure what his "needs" actually are, and then maybe we can sell him on a $3500 rig

    ^agreed, but if you were offered a Yugo or a Z06, each for $1000, everyone would help you get the Z06.

    You have a valid point, but only if one is WAY more money than the other. In this case, it is a wash.

    The thing that I always fine funny with the RRA/BM/DPMS/Stag crowd is that they think a quality AR (like LMT) is way too expensive when it is actually the same price (or close to it).

    yeah ... I agree ... just hearing the word quality ... I thought sounded expensive until I looked at lmt
