The clear mags with 2 or 3 rounds is what I'm interested in.

I have doubts because mine often fail to drop free in that scenario.
Yes, I have both the clear and the smoke translucent AWM's. Both run fine with the 3rd drop test you mentioned. I'm not sure why yours has issues. Mine even dropped free when the mag was empty. What lower are you using?

This past weekend I used the Lancer Mags at a 3Gun event, and they worked very well. I love how you can instantly tell how much ammo you have in the mag because of the clear/translucent polymer body, but still have steel feedlips. And even if I accidentally step on them, they wont deform like metal/aluminum mags would.

What lower(s) are your mags failing to drop free in? I've found that the AWM mags will not drop free in a single one of my lowers, a very old Mega, which I'm fairly certain is out of spec because its magwell is tight on several other brands of mags also. I haven't had issues with the AWM in any other lower, though I have noticed it seems to be wider than other mags and rubs against the magwell sides a little where some other mags don't even seem to be touching them.

That said, while I think the AWM is a good mag, I really can't see any reason to buy any polymer mag except a Pmag M3 right now, or maybe a Tangodown ARC mag gen2 (especially if you have a SCAR), unless you just enjoy trying different mags to see what works. (I do and have a collection of mags.)

I've got three troy mags, they haven't had any issues so far. But like stated before, they do seem more, eh "flexible"
( I guess that's what I'm trying to say). Just don't seem like they'll hold up as long as the pmag

    Why do you say that?

The pmag just feel more durable. Its stiffer. The plastic feels higher quality. The troy has some play in it if I kinda squeeze it. I'm not a expert tho just what I've got from playing around

As I mentioned previously in this thread, mine drop free when empty, as well they should. When they don't drop free with 2-3 rounds in them, muzzle tilted up, it seems to be due to the mag body bulging just enough to make it stick.

    Lowers are Colt and Aero.

    Colt and Aero lowers.
    Weird.

Do the Lancers drop free on your other lowers?

Not all receivers are created equal. I'm sure there are miniature discrepancies to the specs of each rifle, unless you have one that is out of spec. Could be the mag too.

Consider also that we are using a very small sample size. I have 3 Lancer AWM's; all work fine in 3 different lowers I use (Spikes, Anderson, and Core15).

    GunMagWarehouse.com having big PMAG sale...
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

I've tried them (Lancer, clear, with 2-3 rounds, muzzle tilted up) in Colt and Aero, haven't tried them in Spikes yet, those are all of my lowers.

Next time I get a chance I'll take a quick video/pic of it on each of hte three lowers and see what happens/post the results
