    I find it amazing how many smaller departments end up with "white elephant guns" as a friend likes to call them. That "gunsmith/shyster" should be arrested charged with fraud or something along those lines. I would hope the PDs firearms instructors would inspect and test fire the ARs BEFORE they issue them out to the field guys. This would be common sense. When issued/ purchase/ etc any equipment test it thoughly as if your life depends on it, as it might well turn out that it does!!!

    LEO's with inferior quality weapons and no knowledge of how they work, isn't exactly the WORST news I've heard lately.

    It SHOULD alert the REST of us however, to make sure WE understand what makes OUR rifles go "BANG," whej da' trigger go "CLICK." Besides, if things get REALLY ugly - once the economy collapses (possibly by the end of the day... ) - they might need OUR help!
