AAC 300 slab side upper discontinued

I'm kicking around the idea of a 300blk upper for a hog rifle and maybe deer gun. Where I'm at its pretty thick so most shots are under 100yrds and I don't want to invest in mags for 6.8. Came across a steal on the 16" AAC upper with the urx slab side upper. I guess it's been discontinued so it's dirt cheap($650 new). I'm wondering if anyone knows why? To me it's a no brained for what I'm doing, but am I overlooking anything?

Slab side is generally frowned upon for the inability to either perform S.P.O.R.T.S or 'silently chamber' a round by quietly/slowly pulling back the charging handle and 'riding it' forward.

The AAC 16" 300blk upper with the Knights urx rail. I ha e it here in front of me with multiple other uppers. Sounds pretty similar to everything else when it's being charged.

I've never heard of a "slab" side upper. Is that one that lacks a forward assist?

A link would help, but if it's cheap just because it's a slick side upper/older model sounds like a hell of a deal. Assuming it's complete with BCG. No FA wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

By people that either perform S.P.O.R.T.S or wish to 'silently' chamber a round.

Personally, I have no issue with slab sided uppers. I do not use them, as thanks to Uncle Sam I still perform S.P.O.R.T.S and would rather have it and not need it than the other way around, but I do not fault anyone for using them.
