300blk on carbine buffer vs a2 buffer

Never run 300blackout before and am planning to grab a 16" AAC upper that runs the carbine has system. I'm tossing around either a ubr or prs stock for the build, but wondering about cycle with the two buffers. Would I be better off with the shorter carbine buffer and going to a H/2/3 buffer or the longer A2 system. Recoil matters since I plan to do some varmint and hog hunting with it and would like to get rounds down range quickly on a 2-7 optic.

AAC specifies a CAR buffer for the 16" and an H2 for the 12.5" and 9" uppers.

IMO, an H2 weight is most "correct", but I'd guess that on the carbine length BLK upper, the available gas drive is too low to cycle anything heavier than the 3oz CAR buffer.

So will a A2/prs not cycle with this upper?

I have a 16" carbine gas and an A5H2 that cycles every super I put in in. I don't have a suppressor, so I can't say on subs.

If you are planning on running suppressed...go ahead and forego buffer spring combos and give the JP Silent Capture spring a run...Had I done that at first, it would have saved me a couple of hundred dollars trying different buffers and springs.

Uggh. Didn't notice you were in CA. Well...it would still get rid of the "Twang" and with the spring kit..you can tune to whatever weight you like. Just my .02...I was skeptical at first, however; I really have fell in love with them.

    It's worth a shot.

If it doesn't work, there are at least 3 different options available to make it run.

    why not?

I run a JP silent captured spring in a rifle extension, it comes with a little spacer designed for this.
