I am thinking about buying FN FDE SCAR 16 and turning it into a 10'' SBR or find one allready SBR FNSCAR 16.
With the SCARs, engraving the barrel might be an attractive option, so you can throw the original back on and retain the value of the rifle if you need or want to sell it.
I used a hand engraver from harbor freight, you can see it on the bottom edge of the upper receiver above the selector.

If I were to SBR a SCAR, I'd have the barrel done. It's not like an MRP where you have a lot of different barrel and caliber options or an AR where you can drop a bunch of uppers on it. With the cost of SCAR barrels, I imagine people either have a 16/10.5 or simply the 10.5.
If/when more calibers and lengths become available, then it might be more reasonable to do the receiver.
Can the FN SCAR be converted to w/ a different barrel 300 Blk. ?
I think the guys at HDD can do it but I've read hit or miss things over the years.
