Some of those people are probably members of the 501st Legion. They take their costuming hobby very seriously. And in fairness, a lot of people would probably say that civilians - us - who spend thousands of dollars on guns, equipment, and training and spend their weekends practicing to shoot other human beings have real issues, too.

A fan base for an epic film series isn't peculiar to me. I guess I have a hard time understanding that level of cult following, it just seems odd to me.
