I'm interested also. I could use another decent 1-4 for a few things. Too bad I'm buying presents for 10. Not being one to give cheap dollar store gifts seems to take me out of the running every time a good sale comes up. I look forward to a review and some pics!

I bought this scope on the deal and took it out today. I posted a quick review on another forum, I'll copy and paste it here. Before you read this, make sure you understand the reticle's 100, 200, and 300 holds for it to make sense.

So I had an hour to shoot today and took the new scope to get zeroed and play with it. It was cold out (Minnesota) and I did not dress appropriately so it was a good test of extreme shooting conditions. In other words, this scope is capable of even better results. The rifle I mounted it on is a Daniel Defense, 16" barrel, Geiselle SDC. (so you know what I'm working with here) Ammo was Federal XM193.

At 200 yds., I set up an 8" and a 3" steel gong. At 100 yds, paper. After a few shots and elevation clicks, I was within one inch (of bullseye) at 100. So I took it out to the steel at 200 and fine tuned the elevation and was easily ringing the 3" gong using the center of reticle (dot). I left it here and consider that a good 200 yard zero for now since I'm shooting cheap ammo and keeping 3" groups at 200 is fine for coyotes. (next weekend)

What I found was that zeroing on the center dot at 200, made me shoot a couple inches low when bringing it back to 100. That is using the top of the diamond at 100. I adjusted my hold and brought it into bullseye at 100 very easily by using the bottom of the line (at the top of the diamond) instead of the top of the line. So I handed the rifle to my buddy who started ringing the 8" steel at 200, then easily started ringing the 3" at 200. He giggled then said, "I hate you, that thing is ****** awesome". I shot my last mag on paper at 100, and held 1" groups. If I wasn't so damn cold and rushed for time, I know I'll get sub MOA effortlessly with this scope.

I have to say that in my opinion, this is the best value there is for a 1-4 scope. Not just bang-for-your-buck but it's really just an awesome scope. It's exactly how I like them, exposed turrets, solid clicks, illuminated, SFP, great reticle, great glass, and a nice surprise spare battery compartment. IMO, a FFP is stupid on a 1-4 so this is perfect. I did not have time to test the ranging accuracy of the reticle or test the 300 yard hold so that will have to wait until a later date. I mentioned it in an earlier post...the eye relief is fine. Mount it on 4x at your cheek weld, then all the other settings are fine. You can throw the lever and never move off your cheekweld. At 1x, it's real forgiving and you can easily pull the rifle up and get on target quickly in a combat situation.

I honestly can't imagine wanting anything else in a 1-4. Unless you're a complete scope snob and the brand name is all that matters, this scope is a serious home run. I'm a Vortex PST fan for the bang-for-your-buck value, but this scope just kicked the Vortex's ass.

I like the man width ranging marks. Not as fast to use as an ACOG type reticle, but would be good for using hand loads or non-standard ammo that doesn't match a BDC reticle. Range him, and hold to the mil mark that corresponds to that range.

I got to shoot mine out in the desert yesterday..The glass was very clear and bright. Very easy to see, even in the waning light of dusk. The red center diamond was not daylight visible but was very good at dusk. We got it reliably out to 420 yds hitting a 9"x36" steel target 90% of the time. I had a Leatherwood CMR before, and this glass was much clearer. (400 for me was pushing it with the Leatherwood glass clarity.) I was wary of trying another 1-4 because of my experience with the leatherwood. Much happier with this one.

    Shiz,

How are the turrets? Do they turn easy?

They won't move if you bump them. Very firm. Fine for a range bag. You have to intentionally manipulate them to move them. Not overly tough to turn though.

sucks to not pay attention to the various Black Friday fliers Would have loved to pick one up for the $300 pricing. Seems like at $400 it still going to kick some serious butt. Might have to get on the waiting list for April.

Anyone now what the parallax is set at for this unit?
