An AR is a summation of all it's parts. Choose quality that won't fail you over time and you'll be happy with your build.

Since it looks like you are on a budget, I recommend the Geissele 2-stage. It's a "budget" version of the SSA. More or less the same trigger...

I think the OP might be overthinking things a bit. Go shoot the crap out of this rifle, and when you have a problem surface, replace it with a "higher end" part.

Here's my short list of things to worry about:

    Extractor breaking
Gas rings on bolt (wear item)
Gas key loosening on carrier from poor staking
    Broken hammer
    Poor quality ammo

This is what I've seen. You could gather a spare trigger group, bolt, some gas rings, and be GTG. Replace parts when they wear out.

#1 priority here though is just go shoot the crap out of it just the way it is.

I'll venture to inquire about what BCG you plan on using. If you're balling on a budget then I'd look at a Sionics BCG, an ALG QMS (your LPK is probably fine) and maybe an H buffer. The receiver extension kit you bought in all likelihood came with a carbine buffer and is the first thing I suggest people change on similar rifles. You're more likely to develop an issue with the castle nut (some are too soft and deform when tightened) before you experience a problem with the extension itself.

Thanks this is what I was looking to hear. What I can keep...for now. Yes I'm balling on a budget haha.

As for the BCG I went NIB from Aeroprecision. I know it's not necessary but I bought into the less maintanence hype and I happen to get it for almost as much as a regular one.

I was thinking buy an H buffer and hope my spring in "in spec" and I wouldn't have any problems.

The other thing is my Magpul CTR stock(also bought from a shop "off the workbench") seems to have a bit of play in it..... Is this normal.

I would get a BCG from BCM, since it is the same price as that shiny one that you are looking at.

I would roll with it then, but you should know that the bolt is the weak part of that setup.
