    This kind of shotty work just goes to prove why you need to find competent gunsmiths that are experienced in doing this kind of work. I am fortunate that I have such a guy that I use and he has done work for me for years now. In your case, you can get out a dremel with a grinding wheel and finishing wheels to whittle that down and refinish that area or break out the rattle can as you said.

    ya were discussing this issue in another thread but the short version is that I did my homework and he claimed to be experinced and compentent. it seems as though he outsourced the work and this is what I got. It is timed properly and will function but good lord.......
