The requirements for a LPK are virtually the same whether you are building a carbine, pistol or SBR.

Buy a quality LPK from a trusted source and drive on.

I second this. I just picked one of these up for a SBR build I'm working on. These will be my standard from now on.

Nice option. What trigger choice then? Geissele ssa or ssa-e?

You never go wrong going with Geissele, or ALG, which in a roundabout way is Geissele. I bought the LPK C4 posted in his link and it is a great kit, I added another ALG QMS trigger to it.

Edit: And I like the ssa personally.

Good points. Was waiting for PSA TO have LPK sale with the ALG. The SSA WAS specifically built SOCOM.

I bought one of those! Solid pass, I replaced it with the Colt lpk from Grant. I use the PSA kit as a spare parts kit now.
