I believe it has to do with this...?

Brings Ohio’s definition of “automatic firearm” in line with the federal definition, limiting it to only any firearm designed or adapted to fire a succession of cartridges with a single function of the trigger.

I haven't read what exactly the new "definition" is, but that was my assumption when I first read about the bill, they would eliminate the silly "more than 31 rounds without reloading" part of the definition.

They seemed to do a pretty good job of wrapping up all the currently proposed firearms related legislation into one bill.

That's the biggest thing for me (though I'm not from Ohio I do pass through or do a class on occasion). That was perhaps the most unbelievably asinine bit of legislation ever conceived in the known universe. "If it will accept a 30+ round magazine, >poof<, it's a machinegun."

I would like to see that, but I have not read of any currently proposed bills regarding it in Texas. If you know of some, please let me know. I'd love to help with a letter-writing campaign here.

    Thanks.

As would I. Although it would be better if we had a campaign to simply abolish the NFA altogether at the National level. Or at least eliminate suppressors and SBR's as a start. That law has outlived any usefulness it may have had (something I'm not convinced ever really existed).

    REALLY!?

That's perfect, as I'm planning to get one next year. Now I can use it.
