Still don't see the problem.... it's a shitty stipple job like I said but he didn't burn thru his frame or anything so I don't think it belongs here. Just my opinion

If it looks stupid but it works it ain't stupid

So you'd be ok paying for a "shitty stipple job"?

I think it is shameful and absolutely belongs here. The fact that he got his gun back and the frame wasn't burned thru is a pretty low bar to set.

You said my gunsmith tried to fix it. I figured it was some Bubba and that was the best patch job he could do. Guess I read that wrong.... reason I asked the questons

I wouldn't be okay with it, but what's the history?

Was this an owner's attempt at stippling that went awry?

If I saw it someplace and it was cheap enough I'd jump on it, finish the other side and rock on.

True, but from the original post, to me it reads as if it was originally sent to someone who jacked it up...didn't finish that even.

Gotta go with the story provided. This IS the Internet, after all.

80% lower I received during the panic has something wrong in the relation of the bolt catch slot to magazine well relation. Rigged it up at work: laser weld and a little fitting.
