What's hip, trendy, and edgie today is just tomorrows conformity. But hey, tattoos are pretty. When my beautiful daughter got a big one, I was pretty bummed.

That thing's more akin to a bad neck tattoo.

FIFY and I'll go with that.

I had a buddy that had a SWAT tat on his shoulder, a larger than life copy of the unit's patch. I always ragged him about his 'hope I never go to jail' tat.

Today at Mickey D's I saw a young guy with an Army Military Police Corps scroll and crossed flintlocks tattoo on his forearm.

    WTF are people thinking of?

I have a nice classy blob on my right forearm, it used to say U.S.M.C. in nice arched 3/4" block letters, it just faded all to hell, wish I'd never got it.

Never knew tattoos were still such a big deal lol. Man I wish I could post my Dept photo of me and my K9 partner. Short sleeves AND I don't have to wear a sleeve to cover up my entire left arm.

I think it is more a generational thing than anything else. I'm telling you though, 40 years down the road they don't look near as nice.

The best (and only good) tattoo story I have is from a girl I knew who put a blue line 5 mm long and 1 mm wide on the back of her ear. With that she got to tell her horrified mother on the phone how she got this great tattoo (without describing it) during the year she took film classes in London.
