    Piston's in theory cannot be as accurate as a DI gun. So if you are looking for the best accuracy, then look to a custom build using say a Noveske SS barrel.

    I think it is all moot as the bullet has left the barrel before any of the operating components have begun to move on a DI or Piston gun (as can be witnessed on high speed video).

    I personally worry more about the quality of the barrel, the stiffness of the action, a free floated barrel (not really possible with a semi-auto), and the fit of the other operating components than the operating system.
