I use an X300 day to day. Recently picked up an X300U and an APL to try out.
Before you suggest that licensing, background checks, or other restrictions for the 2nd Amendment are reasonable... Apply those same ideas to the 1st and 4th Amendments. Then tell me how reasonable they are.
I have seen quite a few TLR-1s in use at my shop- I've got two. They seem to be extremely reliable and they are on the lower end of the price spectrum compared to the Surefire WMLs. +1 for Streamlight TLR1s.
Streamlight TLR-1 HL 630 lumens of white light, can't beat them for the price.

TLR 3
I started out with an M3X, about 10/11 years ago. I had no issues with it. I switched to the TLR-1 about a year ago, due to the higher lumens. I have since switched to the Infoce APL because I like the more (for me) intuitive controls

Inforce APL. Ever since I received my replacement from Inforce, it's been great.
