Vert grips on AK's, especially on 7.62x39mm AK's (like yours) tend to get in the way of the reload. Plus you need to go through gyrations to find a way to mount the vert grip.

If you really really like them then I suggest going retro and putting a Romanian wood VFG lower HG on there, and running the UltiMAK topside with the VLTOR scout mount and G2L Nitrolon light. With the wood lower you can even screw in a sling swivel to more suit your tastes.

I run a Kreb's offset VFG and it in no way causes any problems with a reload.

You do need a side rail to mount it.

I live in NoVA and have a Romanian vert grip wood lower hand guard I took off a kit. I am usually at the NRA range on weekends if you want it.

You guys are all evil! Great looking rifles there. I want to start down this path with a fully-loaded AK but get scared away by the cost of all the add-ons! You spend more on them than the actual rifle!

    Here's what I might try:
    Arsenal SLR105 modded by AK-USA with an AK105 front-end
    Ultimak gas tube mount
    Aimpoint Micro T-1
    Vltor adaptor
    Vltor E-Mod stock
    Surefire X300 light

I also might use a Russian Siaga grip if I can get my 922 count to work...

    Spooky
