I run a Mini with a brake and an A5 on an 11.5. It does a great job reducing concussion and is incredibly soft, but I wouldn't shoot it without ear pro. I'm working on a 9"300BLK and will go Saker this time.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
Chuck, we miss ya man.

FWIW, the RC on an 11.5" outdoors barely rings my ears on the first shot. However, I didn't like the after affect of a mag dump. Therefore, there is no way I would shoot it all day on 11.5".
Off topic: Why are you moving away from the MP5?

I agree with you on this. There's no question that the socom series is a good product, however there are many others on the market that have as good of mounting system, are quieter, will last as long and take the abuse, and reduce blowback. (silencerco/swr, griffin, etc) I think too many get tunnel vision and ignore other options because of the reasons you listed.

Blowback is one thing the Saker does as good if not better than the SF imo without sacrificing too much in the way of sound suppression, which is ultimately what Steyr is going for. I appreciate the SF RC for its rock solid mounting, low flash, and little blow back, but I also get that out of the Saker and at a reduced price point; and the mounts are half the price of Surefire's equivalent.
StyerAUG, I had a long, helpful talk with SilencerShop today over the phone. These dudes know there stuff! The guy I talked to has shot every can they sell and they sell all of the cans mentioned in this thread (except Knight's), so there is not a dog in the fight other than wanting to help you get the best can for your needs. They don't shy away from the details either! You might want to give them a call, buying from them is easy as pie as a Texas resident too, they'll submit the Form 4 and even ship it to your door when it clears.
Ok, leg hump over.
