Reminds of the GAP camp pattern from GA precision. I likey.

    ETA:

Is anyone either aware of any viable threads on this site or know of any quality links elsewhere on the web discussing light integration methods, pros con's of different set ups?

Thanks for the advice guys. I will pick up the M600U, then figure out which mount I want.

Does anyone use the duel pressure pad from Surefire? Or just stick with the momentary on?
It is from the construction of underground FEMA camps. I can't say more because there a guy parked in front of house in an AMC Pacer. He is acting like he talking on the phone, but I know better.

I have to sign off now & put my laptop in the microwave.

If you are talking about the momentary/constant tape switch I have two which I really like. I run them on the 12 o'clock rail.

I'm one of the oddballs who runs M300/X600 scouts at 12:00 with the boring thumbscrew mount, and Z68 tailcap. In all honestly, I've been too lazy to bother loctiting mine, but I haven't encountered any issue with the mere 900 rounds I've fed a carbine with that mounting configuration. Now that I lack time pressure as an excuse I'll give that thing a once-over with a torque wrench and add Loc242 and then make some index marks, just because it's prudent to do so.

Since I run a DBAL-I2 also at 12:00, I don't have clearance issues. I wish the mount was reversible, but that's the sum total of complaints I have for that mount. The GearSector offset is a better mount, but unnecessary for how I configure stuff, so I've relegated that setup to SR-15's with integral front sights.

The new Surefire ad shows off some of the new switches and mounting options.

    DS - Dual Switch @ 03:08
    SR07-D-IT - Remote Switch for two lights @ 03:15
    RM45 - Off-Set light mount @ 03:24

Guess that would be the scout lights are coming with just the clicky switches now as an option.

So what are everyone's thoughts on the tape switches?

I'm running mine in a scar panel mount at 12:00 which has seemed to help significantly but still seems like the tr ape switch is a but finicky...

I used one for quite a while. Never had an issue with the OEM mount.

What I did have an issue with was the wires. They suck. So I switched to a Gear Sector offset with clicky tail cap on the support side, and never looked back.
Why do the loudest do the least?
