Have a pst, sn 09 in fact. Been a great scope for the money, tracks true and has stood the test of time. I'm not really easy on my using guns, they spend a lot of time in trucks, leaned against the seat and getting used, the pst has held zero perfectly.

I just bought a Vortex PST 6-24 FFP.

While it is a solid optic, there is better value elsewhere.
Why do the loudest do the least?

What would you say is the better value?

Not sure what your intended ranges are, but after months of research (and saving) I just bought one of these. It hasn't been delivered yet, but it comes very highly recommended, and fits the criteria from your OP.

The XTR II, Bushnell Elite, or a used Leupold Mk4 6.5-20 (isn't FFP, but it's good stuff)

I'd recommend more, but unlike most I only like to talk about optics I've actually used.

I had the mk4 6.5-20, I personally didn't like it. It was sfp, the turrets were moa, reticle was mil. And the glass wasn't anything to write home about, not saying the pst glass is us optic or swavorski quality ny any means.

I have a Bushnell elite and I couldn't be happier. The glass is just as clear as the Leupold I traded for it. Everything else about the scope is high quality, the only real gripe I have is it doesn't have zero stop turrets.

I never really felt insecure about not having a zero stop, since the Bushnell had lockable turrets. My NF 2.5-10 has an Elevation Zero Stop, but what to do about the Windage Turret? I wish it were lockable or capped. I think the lockable turrets that the Bushnell has are fantastic and won't hold someone back in the least bit... but to each his own, no doubt. Obviously, one could spend a few hundred more and get the Zero Stop H/DMR models.

It's by no means a major complaint, it's just the only thing I could find to criticize about the scope. I guess having FFP would be nice, but I don't find myself needing to mil targets on a regular basis.
