I would love to see a third party shoot off between all 4 SiCo cans on the same day, same ammo, etc. (Harvester, Omega, Specwar and Saker).

Edit to add: would love to know what SiCo's blackout recipe is... I would have assumed they were using 1680 like most other sub loads.
I asked silencerco about durability specifically about overheating the titanium tube. Here's the response. not very specific. What do you think?

Thank you for your continued interest in SilencerCo, and our products. The Omega has been very thoroughly tested in these regards; at the barrel lengths we Warranty the Omega to, it is rated for full-auto use. The Omega is rated for the following minimum barrel lengths: 300BLK - 8", 5.56 - 10", .308 - 16", Magnums up to 300 Win Mag - 20". The tube is made of Titanium, while the baffles are of a fully welded Stellite, and Stainless Steel construction. This is also where it still retains the increased strength. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Id be less worried about the Omega taking heat than say the new Liberty Suppressors.

I apologize. I meant to say Thunder Beast, not Liberty.

Basically, the Omega isn't full titanium. Only the tube. So the durability is there. Its rated full auto. If its rated full auto, I wouldn't worry much. It has the stellite baffles. But there always is trade off with durability vs weight. I wouldn't be worried at all. You aren't doing Tears of the Sun mag dumps. The new Thunder Beast Ultras are mostly all titanium. Super light yes...but not as durable. I emailed them about how fast you could fire through it and they recommended not more than a mag rapidly before letting it cool down. But I'd expect that. Its more for the precision/hunting crowd.

Does any recall the thread in which someone figured how many rounds that it would take a certain suppressor to reach a particular temperature? I am almost certain that it was in regards to a Ti can.

I see, because baffles aren't made of titanium, it won't overheat. but I've also read about concerns ppl had with over heated titanium tube "drooping" ever so slightly as to cause baffle strike

Txbk, I've read up on a lot of titanium metallurgy on silencer talk but not sure if they answer your specific question.

I emailed silencer co to ask if this can is better than specwar in every way without any down sides.

Like I said there is trade offs....No doubt the Saker would be more durable, imho.

There was a post in a thread here on M4C within the last month, but I can't seem to find it.

No doubt the Saker is more durable with a full stellite baffle stack. The Omega is full auto rated because of the stellite blast baffle, the rest of the baffles are stainless.

Maybe It was in StyerAUGs thread about the SOCOM RC?:

Most manufactures don't want you to go over 800-900 degrees. That's around 45-60 rounds of 5.56 (depending on AR setup, load, ambient conditions, etc. )

    Edit to add:

I have 2 ti cans for precision applications, and would have no problem buying one for semi auto use of I had a specific goal in mind like Steyr does. I wouldn't recommend them to someone for a first can, but a lightweight build for HD or wife/girlfriend rig they are perfect.

I must have read that thread a dozen times looking for it before I moved on to other threads. Thank you for the assist. It was a post by domestique, but it was this one, in particular, that I was looking for:

One thing to note with TI cans is that most manufactures want you to keep them below 800-900 degrees. Assuming a 5.56 round adds 15 degrees (under worst circumstances) that only gives you 45-50 rounds on a 95 degree day.
Domestique, may I ask where you got the info. to assume that each 5.56 round fired cause a 15 degree increase, and in which specific components (barrel length, suppressor materials,...) this is true?
