I think we can say that it shouldn't be a worry...for semi auto use especially...

Domestique, may I ask where you got the info. to assume that each 5.56 round fired cause a 15 degree increase, and in which specific components (barrel length, suppressor materials,...) this is true?
The temperature is from Zak at Thunderbeast (one of the owners). The 15 degrees is from a couple people I know that have done temperature readings at the range. It was also confirmed with what Zak has seen in testing..... but isn't a hard and fast rule.

I believe Mack on the military arms youtube channel even demonstrated this.

15 degrees is on the high side. Depending on ammo, barrel etc it would probably range from 7-15 degrees a shot.

IIRC, stellite melts around 2,000 degrees.

Edit to add: go to 21:40 to see temperature test.

+1. I wouldn't put the Omega on a M60 and run a full belt.... but I wouldn't have a problem dumping the occasional mag through it.

This is only a WAG, but I wonder if the Omega's tube is lined with stainless/stellite and not just bare titanium with stellite baffles... that would make the full auto claims more realistic.

    I appreciate it, domestique.

My pleasure. I really need to buy a quality infared thermometer and take some readings with various setups (barrel length, different loads). It would be interesting to compare 300 blk to 5.56 to 308 etc.

Another thing the Omega will have over the Saker is the ability to cool faster since they used a ti tube.

So is today supposed to be the day Silencer Shop releases their review on the Omega or is today just the day they were going to film their review?

I think they have been filming. They have been teasing shots on their instagram. So I assume the videos will be out soon.
