Silencer Shop's facebook page says they have 5.56 end caps for the Omega in stock.

Anyone use a Saker with 51T? Will the Omega use a 51T ? Only ask because I already have 2 but I know they are not considered good anymore. Hate buying new FH's....

Omega uses ASR and direct thread and the can comes with one of each, so it will not use 51T mounts.

556 is not all that quite of a round to suppress so you will generally be in the low 130s db wise. The Omega is quoted by Silencerco to be right at 130db. Thats low for that round but I would caution that until someone does independent testing, we don't know what the numbers are. Chances are very good that real world numbers will be different.

Have you notice that most silencer manufacturers are making their own ammo now? Thats so they can quote super lower numbers that are not total BS like the numbers we used to get 4 or 5 years ago. Real world ammo will probably tell a much different story but if you want to buy their ammo at $2 a round you will get those numbers.
I have my 5.56 AR, and also .243 and .270 hunting rifles. I wanted a can that could be swapped to each one as I switched guns. Obviously the two hunting rifles wouldn't see a high round count. The AR by default of design would see the most rounds. The Omega seemed like it was a good fit to be able to cover all three. I also would like to have the option down the road to also suppress a .308 or similar sized round when I pick one a new rifle, with the same suppressor. This would be my first can, so I am trying to cover a lot of bases so I can also afford to get a pistol suppressor. Two separate rifle cans won't let me do that.

Does anyone know if any of the dealers will let you swap the 5/8-24 direct mount for a 1/2-28? I really would not need the 308 direct mount, just the 1/2-28 for an AR.

I doubt that any dealer would be willing to do that, since that is not the way SilencerCo ships them out.

Just like the 762 Saker, you can add a 1/2x28 direct thread module to an Omega for $100.
