I'm ready for you to get your stamp, so you can do some testing and give us some feedback as an end-user.

No kidding, with approval times dropping to around 3-4 months on average it will be here before I know it.

Some more info on the weight of Omega from the SilencerShop

11.3oz without any mount and anchor brake installed
13.5oz with direct thread mount and anchor brake installed
14.8oz with the ASR Mount not including muzzle device and anchor brake installed
1.5oz weight of the anchor brake
2.2oz weight of the direct thread
    3.4oz weight of the ASR
3.4oz weight of the muzzle brake

Looking really good as far as weight goes, now just waiting for some more testing on the noise levels.

It's FAR from bad weight, but I'm starting to think I might go with the new Thunderbeast for a dedicated precision can instead. Waiting for more information about Omega.

How effective are the multi-caliber cans versus a dedicated one? I would like this for several different calibers solely for versatility.

They can be very effective. What rounds are you thinking about using?

556 is not all that quite of a round to suppress so you will generally be in the low 130s db wise. The Omega is quoted by Silencerco to be right at 130db. Thats low for that round but I would caution that until someone does independent testing, we don't know what the numbers are. Chances are very good that real world numbers will be different.

Have you notice that most silencer manufacturers are making their own ammo now? Thats so they can quote super lower numbers that are not total BS like the numbers we used to get 4 or 5 years ago. Real world ammo will probably tell a much different story but if you want to buy their ammo at $2 a round you will get those numbers.

Something else noteworthy, is the use of the 5.56 end cap on a 7.62 Saker. I don't know db values offhand, but if I am not mistaken, it is the most effective way to suppress 5.56, in regards to db levels.

Yeah, good point, what ever happened to SilencerShop posting a video? My guess is the numbers the got would have taken too much explanation...
