You guys with Omegas, is the 5.56 end cap worth it? In that, does it actually make a noticeable difference when shooting 5.56? I just got to shoot mine for the first time and while I didn't expect anything crazy I would like to make it quieter if possible. Of course I would rather not waste my money if the difference is really negligible.

I can't imagine it making much difference due to the supersonic round. Even the guys putting a 9mm end cap on a 45 can say it's usually not worth it, and that's with subs.

Only reason I'll have one is I wanted a flat cap, so might as well buy the smaller version. But I have a local guy making mine in Ti.

Ah kind of what I figured, no sense in me spending the money then, I don't have any need for a flat cap, would only bother if it made a noticeable difference.

I only shoot mine with the 5.56 endcap, never used the 7.62. I'll try and remember to bring both next time. I can say that, on my 11.5 BCM LW with the 5.56 endcap, i'm nothing but pleased. The flat cap saves a length, which is great.

I bought the 7.62 flat endcap for my Omega. I shoot my Sakers with the 7.62 endcap and am more than pleased with that performance.

IIRC, there are a couple Silencershop videos out there where they use the 5.56 endcap (I believe on the Saker) and it doesn't make a huge difference (1-2 db max). I would rather have the larger endcap to avoid a potential endcap strike (due to my stupidity), and less blowback the 7.62 endcap potentially offers.

ETA: If the suppressor was going to be dedicated to 5.56 I would buy one, but I'm swapping this can between 5.56 and 300blk.

! Nice work. As far as I understand how the mount works, these don't loose any functionality over the full length devices when mounting the can, right? Can you weigh them for me? These muzzle devices are pigs and when intending the brakes to simply be a blast baffle then this makes great sense.

How the can mounts to the devices doesn't change. The 1/2x28 ASR brake was right at 4 oz. The modified 2 port is roughly 3.5 oz and the 1 port is 3 oz. The 1/2x28 Saker brake was nearly the same.
The 1 port brakes are going on my full time suppressed SBRs. The 2 ports are on the ones that are part time.

SilencerCo has a sale going on accessories, starting today. So, right now is the time to pick up those muzzle devices or accessories that you may have been thinking about.
