I would also be interested in this by users that own several cans:
*If you could list what other cans you own and the performance you are seeing out of the omega in 556 and 300 blk (super & Subs)?
*What is your opinion of the tone with the other cans you own?
*And what is your current configuration with attachment and end cap?

I received my stamp for my Omega back in mid-December. So far I really like it. I have it set up on the following four rifles via the ASR mount and following muzzle devices:

    LMT MWS 308 (ASR/Specwar 7.62 muzzle brake)
    PWS Mk216 308 (ASR/Specwar 7.62 muzzle brake)
11.5 SBR BCM BFH (ASR Trifecta flash hider)
10.3 SBR DD Mk18 (ASR Trifecta flash hider)

    I also have a Gemtech Trek-Titanium 5.56 can - direct thread - on a BCM 12.5 Kino upper.

So far I love the Omega. I have only been able to put 150 or so rounds with the can thru the PWS Mk216 and maybe 100 combined on the 5.56 guns. It is quiet with only a slight shift in POI at 100 yds (I am talking 1/4 to 1/2 MOA with several 10 shots groups I have shot). The ASR mounting system has been solid. Compared to the Gemtech on 5.56 guns, it is noticeably quitter with a less sharp sound. Shooting without earpro with the Omega is doable with both the 308 and 5.56. I cannot say the same with the Gemtech - it is too uncomfortable for me. Size and weight wise, it's not all that much bigger than the Gemtech. I am using the 7.62 flat end cap. I got a 5.56 flat end cap for Christmas but I could not tell the difference in sound reduction between it and the 7.62 flat cap or anchor brake that came with it. I am just going to leave the 7.62 flat cap on because it was also kind of a pain in the ass to switch caps between the 308 and 5.56 guns with little to no sound benefit to my ear.

The one issue I am having is with the LMT. I will not shoot it on the LMT yet as it appears the alignment is slightly off and I am concerned about a baffle strike - it's too close according to the troubleshooting with the Geiselle SAR... I have been in contact with both Silencerco and LMT about the issue. The SAR indicated perfect alignment on the PWS and two 5.56 guns. So we suspect either the Silencerco 7.62 muzzle brake is off or the LMT barrel threads/shoulder are not concentric. I am starting the mounting system first. In fact, just yesterday, I got the package sent Friday from Silencerco with two new 7.62 brakes and a new ASR mount to troubleshoot with. If this does not work, LMT said they will take care of me.

Silencerco has been awesome with CS and response. During the time my can was in NFA jail, they redesigned the ASR mount to address carbon build up on the threads. They replaced the old ASR that came with my can. I also had a coupon in my box for a free case and 7.62 flash hider with registration. They traded the 7.62 FH for a 5.56 FH without any hesitation.

So, in summary, I am very pleased with the Omega at this point.

    Thank you for the review.

Did you try the direct thread mount on the LMT? That should isolate the problem to the brake or LMT barrel threads.

I'm sorry if this has been covered in the last 45 pages, but has anyone had a problem removing the anchor brake at all??

I just picked mine up out of jail today, and wanted to install a flat cap (this is for 300 blk and 5.56) and holy mother of torque is that brake end on there tight. I read the instructions, I watched the video on SilencerCo's website, I have no problem switching mounts between the direct thread and ASR, but the anchor brake will not budge. Not a millimeter. No clue on what to do. All I've done is scratch the front of the anchor bake when the tool pops out.

Thanks! I hear great things about their customer service, and planned on calling Monday.

It shot fine with the Anchor break on; just couldn't figure out why it's stuck on there so hard.

Picked up my Omega (and 40Osprey) Sat from THSF. Took a couple measurements and pics. With the supplied ASR mount (no muzzle device) and anchor, it's roughly 7.75" and 15oz. With Ti 5.56 flat cap and Ti 1/2-28 DT, it's down to 6.25" and 12.2oz.

    I weighed:
    Anchor brake 1.4oz
    Ti flat cap .8oz
    ASR 3.7oz
    Ti DT 1.5oz

The Ti flat cap is the new one, and the DT is the original one from DM until I get a replacement...it works fine but I don't like the armorer's wrench cutouts.

    For now, it'll live here:

Thoroughly convinced now that the muzzle brake on the omega does a LOT to lower the noise at the shooters ear. Shot my 6.8mm under my covered deck last night as I was taking a coyote and it sounded significantly louder than when I've shot in the open field. Figured the ceiling and walls captured a lot of the sound that's directed out the sides of the thing....
