I totally know the feeling on saving...but I just took my Rem 700 223 5r out again today, 13 degrees out and all, and I wanted to kick the thing...I swear, every time that X-junk trigger senses live ammo, it gets 5 pounds heavier till you break out the trigger gauge again... at least the groups were MOA and smaller

If they come out with a LH stock (pretty sure they will) I'll really consider a .338 Lapua build.

I did some math, and I am liking this. A Lot.

    Magpul padded sling - $57

    Stock - $246

    Bottom metal - $67

    7.62 mag - $34 each - buy five for $170

    sling cup - $15

SGA riser - $15 per set - get both

    M-LOK sling mount - $19

QD sling swivel - $27 - buy two

Total cost less tax and shipping = $558

That leaves me $400 for an Atlas bipod and a Timney trigger. Do-able.

So I get the bottom half of the rifle for just under a grand. Schweet.

I already have a 20" Remmy 700 that is suppressor-ready with a Vortex Viper PST 4-16 mil/mil optic, BO base and rings. Mount the trigger, and drop it in.

And I need to figure out what can to use - sigh......

Is this Magpul stock even out for sale yet?

I don't think thats the point though.

For me the big draw is the stock is that you can have what looks to be a really reliable and modular bottom end on your rifle for sub $350 prices. If you total up my wyatt's DBM (not super impressed) and B&C stock right now, i'm over that and I don't have the advantages the magpul offers, namely LOP and comb adjustments.

Manners and McMillan still are probably going to be the big guys in the fight, but I for on am thrilled about what I would consider an improvement for my rifle.

Anyone want a gently used B&C stock with Wyatt's DBM system in April?

I had the chance to handle one in person the other week. Very nice. I will be ordering one for my "utility" bolt action rifle along with the trigger guard/mag combo. Very nice.

Looks like there are a few new pics on the Magpul website since the last time I looked. April is quickly approaching, any updates? Anyone have any time with it yet as a T&E?
