What happened to this one Mark?

I'm in your exact position. I'm pretty sick of these companies overgassing everything to cater to the mouth breather crowd.

You can get an LMT 10.5 upper with the receiver at DSGarms for $485. They show "available". They are reported to have the .071" gas port. I finally threw in the towel and bought an Aeroprecision 10.5 with the .077" port. I don't plan to run a can, so I figure I can rein it in with a heavier buffer.

I put those numbers out based on actual checks I have made and recent email interactions. Sometimes you need to take a leap of faith.

Also, a quick Google search would have revealed that the .071 port size is fairly well known and established with that barrel.

Very few companies will actually provide this info, which is why I usually take the time to document and measure the ports myself so I know what I am dealing with.

I explained my reasoning for wanting to know that information and how important it was for me to make sure the gas port was not over sized. He still refused to answer my question directly and merely provided a haphazard assertion that his "personal" 10.5 functions with/without a can.

Specialized Armament says on their website that their guns are set up to run either suppressed or unsuppressed, not both. Since you want both, I would skip their suppressor only barrel. That being said, I really love the Mk 18 barrel I bought from them a few years ago, but I don't run a suppressor.

Marvin is a former KAC employee. His work is hands down fantastic. His company is called nefarious arms. I don't think he has a website, but I think he's got a face book page. Found this from silencertalk from a KAC guy posting about Marvin. PM me markm and I'll get you in contact info.

Marvin is a former KAC employee, and he is THE man for barrel dimpling beyond KAC factory rifles that are dimpled here.
