The tangible benefit is that the lengthened cam pin track adds to bolt life by delaying extraction. And, no, don't bother asking me to quantify that. I can't any more than I can quantify how much longer my car's engine will last because I use synthetic oil over conventional.
Understood. I'll probably stick with Colt, though. It's a known quantity and noone has ever had a problem with one (barring manufacturer defect) running right in their gun.

Yes, it does. And there is plenty of information about the LMT enhanced carrier and it's features.

Which buffer with a DDM4V5 Upper (16" Mid) and a DD M4A1 Upper (14.5" Carbine)? Have an A5H1 on hand currently, but assuming that will be too light. Don't want to buy 3 expensive buffers just to find out, although maybe that'd be best.

When I had a Vltor setup on my 16" DDM4 middy, I just used the Vltor buffer that came with the regular kit, whatever that one is. Ran well.

Gotcha. I believe the Standard is the A5H2. I'll give that a shot with the DD 16" Mid.

    What spring were you running?

Never shot TULA, so I don't know. If you want to run 55gr Russian stuff though, I'd back off 1 buffer "size" from what is included in the regular kit.
Barely functioning with junk underpowered ammo is where I like it. I lets me know the gun will function optimally with 5.56 pressured ammo.
