It's a MK1 with more modularity...45 degree steel inserts for rail acc. panels, as well as more built in QD sockets.
The MK1 most likely still has the better barrel nut/lockup design, however I'd love to see the Rem rail broken down.
LWRC sure makes some sweet guns, I'll have to get one of their DI machines and try it out. Hopefully those PDWs are soon to be released. Can't wait to see if they release a 7.62 DI gun.

I can't wait to see if they release that DI gun or the R5. Would be interesting to get a hold of the R51 and see if it's as trusty as a G19.

This is an experimental process that is still being developed by the anodizing company. They did a few test samples in time for us to display at SHOT. Customer response was very positive at the show so it may be offered as an option once the process is finalized.

Keymod is the name of the game for Vltor this year, Eric Kincel of the Vltor fame since left Vltor and join company with BCM, but you can still see a lot of Eric's influence in vltor weapon systems
