I don't really see what the big deal is. BCM is selling a X-Tac with their logo, a rail and magwell on it. Ok. Since it has the BCM name attached to it they will sell out and command a high price. I don't get it.

As a lefty that likes 1911s with rails and the xtac, it is hard to find a Wilson with all the features you want. At least w/out ordering it and waiting which I'm not that great at. This checks all my boxes, could care less about the name on the side.

I'm a "Less is More" kinda guy (and I carry a 1911) and that thing looks all business to me. I like it.

What the heck makes 1911s so expensive?!?

I am not at all taking anything away from the craftsmanship of a well made 1911, but I can buy 8 Glocks for the price of that thing. Or pay my property taxes for 2 years. Or put 10% down on a Mercedes CLA.

I'm not denying that it is a good weapon, they just seem so expensive for being such a tiny piece of steel.
Why do the loudest do the least?

Price makes it less enticing. I have had a cqb with more options quoted for less from dealers.

Man hours. That and bullet-proof parts rather than MIM.

You're thinking of golf clubs, UTVs, Mercedes, and cigars.

If you ever build a 1911 yourself, you'll understand a bit better as to why they cost so much.
