After looking at what WC offers and the price of those offerings it makes more sense. A better understanding of what it takes to build a reliable, quality 1911 would also help to understand the price. There was also hope, that they would be less expensive.

Has anyone seen an official price on these? I would fully expect it to be in the $3600 range, but I haven't seen it posted. I'm guessing the initial run of 100 is already sold out by now.

I don't think they have released the 100 yet. They are $3290 for standard, $3375 for Ambi.

While I think this 1911 is a great looking pistol I fear it is too rich for my blood. I will stick with my trusty WWII Army issue 1911. If it comes down in price then I might look a little more closely at it.
