I don't understand the sticker shock. It's a Wilson. They usually run $3K plus....
    Exactly.

After looking at what WC offers and the price of those offerings it makes more sense. A better understanding of what it takes to build a reliable, quality 1911 would also help to understand the price. There was also hope, that they would be less expensive.

Is the frame Stainless Steel like other railed government Wilsons or Carbon?

    I'm rooting for Carbon

Has anyone seen an official price on these? I would fully expect it to be in the $3600 range, but I haven't seen it posted. I'm guessing the initial run of 100 is already sold out by now.

I don't think they have released the 100 yet. They are $3290 for standard, $3375 for Ambi.

Yeah. You can buy a reservation for $100. It's on the link in the original post of the thread.

Happy 160th Birthday John Browning. I didn't want to start a new thread-thought this would be a good place to post.

While I think this 1911 is a great looking pistol I fear it is too rich for my blood. I will stick with my trusty WWII Army issue 1911. If it comes down in price then I might look a little more closely at it.
