Oh good, something else to have astronomical lead times to produce. On the bright side, that's how I was able to resell mine for what I had in it once it shipped a couple years later, but all I care about is that it's another competitive offering to bring down the price of other billet units.

Now that MagPul has an AI magazine, we'll see even more options, but I'm honestly holding out for the first everyman's chassis (maybe the MEGA Arms or something) that doesn't mean a $3000 rifle in order to shoot 3/4MOA groups with COTS match ammo.

The weird thing is that on their .308 AR which takes forever to get if you order it..... Pappabear saw two variants in Merchant Firearms a few weeks back. They must produce a certain amount for dealer distribution.

At Shot show Mark was saying they are down to a 4-6 week lead time now.

... or savvy dealers are putting in block orders. I really have no idea or visibility on how APPI handles delivery order, but my guess is that they're still trying to keep expanding in such a manner that lead times don't actually hit zero (but also allows for implicit customer-defined final configurations so that every rifle that ships is a semi-custom item).

i'm curious about it, but haven't heard specs from anybody on the action or the barrel. obviously everything on that list is already available for any rem700 except the action and barrel.

the trend is certainly towards integral recoil lugs and rails, so i'm curious why he chose to make those separate parts like the regular rem700. from random SHOT pictures, it looks like a 2 lug design, with m16 style extractor and a safety built into the bolt instead of on the trigger.

with no other info, i'd say he will probably make a lot of sales to existing customers, but i doubt it's going to take share away from defiance and their peers.

also curious about his inhouse barrels.

My guess is on these being a decent chunk of change...which yet again I'm a ways off from having.
