I've owned 1 of the reg. leathermans and 2 of the super tools. I bent all 3 at the plier heads so they are misaligned. Gave 'em to the kids.

In the Army when we got issued our new ACU gear we also got issued black Gerber 600's. More than half of them were broke in about a month including mine. They we're all snapping off between the larger grooves on the plier heads, not cleanly either seemed like they were made of that powdered metal.
Prolly a bad batch.

I currantly have a commercial Gerber 600 that has lasted about 3 years so far.

you should send them back to leatherman they're under waranty. broke my bit driver on the skeletool sent it back and it should be back in about a month. btw I have a 600 for over 9 years but it sounds like a babys rattle.
