    Saiga 12

Thread is a bit old but I'll post something in case you haven't made a decision. Best forum for info on the Saiga brand shotguns and rifles is http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php. Availability has been spotty and prices keep going up. Gilbert Guns and Centerfire Systems currently has them in stock for pricing more reasonable than several auction sites this past spring. The stocking level of the Saiga 12 tends to ebb and flow a bit so if your truly interested you might want to jump on one now.

In response to the question posted above about the shells deforming, yes it is a known issue if you leave a loaded mag inserted on a closed bolt. Might want to store with bolt open if you think you'll need it that quick. Personally, I keep my Mossberg 500 at the front of the safe for that need. If I knew I was stepping into harms way and needed the firepower then the Saiga is a great choice.

Building one the way you want it is also fairly easy using the info provided on the Saiga forum.

    Good luck!

    Alan

    Scattergun,

That tromix is a mean looking gun. Very nice.
