You can't really do that with a gas block.

Oh, I've done it. But I didn't have a usable gas block once I was done.

I've only had to do it twice, but I managed to get it done both times without damaging the threads on the gas block. It takes a lot of care not damage the gas block threads or drill into the barrel. I was able to use an ease-out to get the remainder of the screw out of the gas block once the core of the screw was drilled out. It is not a good situation to be in, but I would rather drill it out than apply heat with a torch. That was also before I started using Un-Cure. I changed the way that I do things after taking IG's class, including how I apply Loctite. I think that most of the situations of not being able to remove the screws stems from using too much Loctite. A little bit goes a long way.

Cut 'em out with a mill.

The Locktite is ridiculous. A proper taper pin would preferable to insane glue and a sorry Allen head screw. I hate Allen head screws almost as much as Phillips head screws.
