    271 red, IIRC.

Anybody have a recommendation for an adjustable railed block?
SLR just announced one a few days ago on their Instagram.

I'll check them out. Looks like JP has some good options, too.

After snapping a 3/32 allen head bit and turning two 3/32 allen wrenches into double helix I can safely say Bob Smith Uncure is not working. I tried heating up the gas block with a heat gun and then filling up the screws and gas block holes with Uncure 3 times letting it soak for 24hrs each time. The last time I put a soldering iron on the tip of the screw head for about 5 mins and still nothing but a busted wrench. Maybe I got a bad bottle of Uncure cuz you guys make it sound easy, looks like the torche is the next step.

If the screw isn't stripped out, try an electric impact driver with the correct allen bit.

Screws are not stripped, the bit snapped and the wrenchs (griped with pliers) twisted before snapping the tip off in the screw head. These are cheap tools, but I have 5 more S2 steel bits coming. It seems like the Uncure didn't do anything. I am not sure it is able to penetrate down to the loctite on the threads. After three tries I can see some rust forming between the threads of the screw and gas block.

272 red loctite is supposed to be good to 450 degrees farenhieght is this enough to ruin the heat treat on the block or barrel if using a torch?

Orient the barrel vertically and put a few drops where the block meets the barrel from the top. It may wick down to the threads of the screws.

That's what I did and when I removed the block it was wet with UnCure under the block. I also had a soldering iron on the screws for a little heat as well.

    Worth a try I think.

Un-Cure has worked for me all but one time. I do it as mentioned above.

If you need to use a torch, get a small pencil torch..... Like a pocket model.

Apply localized heat directly to the screws 20 seconds at a time.

Its not hot enough to affect the temper of a good gas block or barrel. I check my work with an infrared thermometer to ensure I don't get too hot.

I have always drilled the screws out, instead of using heat, when tools have failed me.
