Just like they can't make things illegal overnight, right?

Maybe you need to re-read my post ... then look up "ex post facto law" on Google or some place.

Maybe the ATF does it what it wants and disregards any law/rule that stood before it.

But what do I know, right?

You have a big emotional investment in this. Do you sell trusts?

If it does (and most Quicken and other pretend trusts look OK to the untrained eye), then you get your stamp. But if your trust is ever challenged in the future, you can bet that it will be thoroughly examined by experts in your state’s trust law … and if those experts decide that your pretend trust doesn’t meet all of your state’s requirements, then you san say adios to your collection of NFA toys … and possibly adios to your freedom as well.
    Just read this...

If the ATF approved a trust and allowed a stamp to be issued then any and all liability is on them and only them. It would be completely reasonable for them to produce requirements for what they determine a trust to be in order to have NFA items if at any time they deemed a trust to not meet some sort of legal requirement. They would also have to allow the executor a reasonable amount of time to amend and provide a trust that meets those requirements.

Is this true? I thought that you had to put the item you are applying for the stamp for on the Schedule A for submission with the Trust and Form 1.

I've never put the item in schedule A until I had the approval. The trust I sent to Silencer shop has nothing in Schedule A and they said it looked good before they sent it out. I trust them since I'm sure they've seen a lot of different trusts and rejections. The 2 form 1's I e-filed were submitted with the same blank schedule A so hopefully I can let you know in a couple weeks.

Is the trust funded at all though? Like a $1 bill?
