I have read threads discussing that the 762rc doesn't shine too well with 300blk subs versus the Saker which shines overall. Can anyone with any personal experience with the 762rc describe their experiences with 300blk if they have any? Haven't seen a release date on when the 300blk Surefire will be released so I'm looking at these two currently before I place my order. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
I have a Socom 762-rc and a Saker 762. Unfortunately my Saker is still in jail, but I bought it specifically due to the lack luster performance I found with my 762-rc.
I took 2 identical 300 blk handi rifles (aac cyclone vs 762-rc ) and the 762-rc was hilariously loud compared to the cyclone. Now the cyclone is a longer can, but even my 9mm Octane sounds good with 300 blackout subs.
As you've probably already read. Surefire designed their cans around full power military loads. My 762-rc sounds just as good as the cyclone on identical LMT MWS 308 rifles, but the 762-rc has less blowback and less poi shift.
If I was looking for a 300 blackout SBR, I would go Saker, Omega or wait for Surefire's new 300 blackout can to hit the stores.
Now, if you are looking for a full size, military grade, suppressor to shoot 308 loads with minimal poi shift and blowback..... then but a SOCOM762-RC. I love mine, just not with 300 blackout subsonics.
